“One day I heard that Captain Cook Cruise was looking for new recruits onboard so I decided to grab the opportunity and this was the best decision I ever made.”
Faith in God, Passion and love for the job has brought me this far, says Sakiusa Jitoko. The 64-year-old had spent half of his life entertaining tourists and visitors on board the Captain Cook Cruise vessel.
He joined the Cruise in 1991 and until today, he was still thankful to God for the opportunity 30-years-ago.
“I’m blessed that if it hadn’t been for my steady faith in God I wouldn’t have come this far,” he said.
“During my teen years it was hard to look for a Job because back then there were few job opportunities for us.”

Mr Jitoko hails from Levuka-i-Daku in Matuku, Lau.
